Monday morning the girls were right at it making slime. Avery is a slime expert.
I left them at home while the rest of us girls went out to celebrate Mom’s birthday. We got pedicures or manicures and went to lunch.
Later that afternoon my van died. Thankfully I was close to home. The alternator had exploded! It was completely out of commission. The Hawkins were so nice to let us use one of their cars while our van was in the shop.
Grace got her costume that night at play rehearsal. She was so excited!
Isaac spent one more night with the boys that night. They were zonked out the next morning.
We got Isaac back in time for Penguin Club and caught the tail end of Emma giving a private lesson.
It was July 11th so we stopped at 7-11 for free Slurpees later that afternoon and then took a trip to the library.
Tuesday night was a busy one. I had a couple big YW Camp meetings, Lee had stake meetings and Grace had rehearsal. Oh man. Early the next morning Emma left for Yearbook Camp for the rest of the week. Once Emma was off the twins and I headed to Mary S. Young State for the day.
The kids played for hours.
I tried out my new floppy hat and borrowed Grace’s yellow sunglasses.
Joan and Mark joined us which ended up being quite the adventure for Joan and her new shoes. Oops!
We had to drag the kids away and they begged to go back.
Grace had rehearsal again that night, every night that week.
The next morning we were off on another adventure. This time to the beach. My van was still in the shop so we all squished into Kristin’s van.
Our first stop was at Tillamook Cheese Factory, of course!
Then we headed to Hug Point. It didn’t take long for Parker to find a big crab.
The kids played and played, Kristin slept, and I read. It was perfect.
After a great day at the beach we stopped at Chic-Fil-A on the way home. Yum!
We got Emma back the next day. She had a good time at Yearbook Camp and learned a lot in preparation for being Co-Editor in Chief this school year.
Saturday night the twins and I settled in for a movie while Lee and Emma went on a daddy daughter date.
Lee is still trying to perfect his duck lips.
They saw Pirates of the Caribbean.
Sunday morning brought a nice lazy morning at home with a yummy breakfast. Happy Sabbath!
