November 13-19, 2017

Monday was Lee's first day as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at New Foundation Inner Health.  It was so exciting, but he was SO nervous.  I haven't seen him that nervous in a long time.  Of course it went well, but the nerves didn't go away for several weeks.  It was nice to finally start his new career, but we were going to miss those Mondays off!

He was excited to see his business card with all those letters behind his name, too bad we don't like the design of the business card.  Ugh!

Monday was also the first day of swim team practice for Emma.  Hard to believe this is her last year!

We had the missionaries over for dinner that night and had bum thankful rolls with them.  Our kids love those things!

Emma was taking a marketing class and had to manufacture a product and sell it.  Sierra was her partner and they decided to make nail polish dipped mugs and etched cups with candles in them.  They had to buy all the product and produce it themselves.  They started working this week and they got several orders right from the beginning.

I finally picked up the finished pottery projects for Grace and Seoul.  They turned out so cute and they were so happy with them.

Lee and I finally made definite plans to gift our kids a trip to Disneyland for Christmas.  I started researching dates that would be good to go, which included contacting Emma's yearbook advisor and swim teach coach.  Lots to coordinate!  Unfortunately, we found out later that Emma saw all those tabs on my computer and figured a trip may be in our future.

Isaac loves history.  He decided to turn his research into his own product.

Say hi to history with History Isaac, or HI for short.  He made HI booklets about historical figures that he is interested in.  I love this.  He is such a fun kid.

I started working on my Christmas ornaments.  I was trying to decide between the two designs, I chose the one on the right.

Grace made a scarf at Activity Days.  She loved it so much that she wore it to bed.  She loves going to Activity Days with Sister Davis.

The twins and I finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.  They are definite Harry Potter fans!

On Saturday Isaac and Grace went to a birthday party, and then played in the leaves.  Pure joy!  Lee and I went to dinner with the Parker's that night.  Always fun with the Parker's!

Sunday was full with Ward Council, BYC, hometeachers and church.  Isaac and Grace still had time to make their own board game.

We also had our General Conference family home evening that night.  I love reviewing what we learned at conference.

It was especially nice to go over notes the kids took while we were actually at conference!  They take good notes.

And Grace added a beard to her face before going to bed.

Ashley was at our house.  She and Emma have so much fun together!

November 7-12, 2017

Isaac really likes to play chess these days.  He's getting pretty good!

On Wednesday we had parent teacher conferences for Isaac and Grace.  They are doing great in school and got glowing reviews from Mrs. Cortez.  They both test above their grade level reading and math.  Smart kids.  They are also crazy kids, including Emma. It's fun to watch them wrestle and play together.

There wasn't any school on Thursday and Isaac and Grace both had playdates.  That night I had my own girls night at Danielle Apken's house.  She hosted a favorite things party.  It was so much fun.  Love all these ladies!

On Friday Grace got to go to the Gilbert House with Seoul and some other friends.  She had a great time.

Isaac got to hang out with Tyce and go with Canby 2nd ward Cub Scouts to Rackleff House for a veteran salute.

That afternoon Grace helped me prep for Emma's birthday party.

Then Lee took Isaac and Grace to McDonalds while Emma's friends arrived.

We had a house full of teenagers watching a movie, eating lots of food and playing games.  I didn't get any pictures, except for a few.

It was a fun night with good kids.  The next day La La took Emma out for a birthday breakfast date.

Emma had to work that afternoon and then she had to do a photoshoot at the play for yearbook.  She needed the little bit of time she had at home to do homework.  That got her out of doing work around the house, which became a weekly occurance for the rest of the year.

While she did homework the rest of us cleaned off the shoe shelves.  Finally!  They were a mess and were full of sand from a beach trip.

It felt good to get that done!

Lee and Emma had a busy Sunday night, but the twins and I had a nice night at home.  We read some Harry Potter and cuddled on the couch.

I had to take a picture of a card that Grace wrote to me in her Primary class.  How she addressed it made me laugh.  The Primary Room is my home on Sunday!
