We celebrated Lee’s birthday on Monday with my family.

He chose the giant Oreo cake this year.  And he showed off his crazy eyes.

He got some good stuff.

Love the puzzle Grace made with a picture of her and Lee.

Of course he got his usual gift, even two of them!  He deserves it, we sure love him!

Tuesday night I got to go to the Stake Beehive Swarm with the YCL Presidency to get the Beehives pumped for camp.  We set up our room like a campsite and it was great.  Lee had meetings.  Emma had to work.  So the twins got to spend the evening with La La.  Lucky them!  They had giant rice krispy treats, watched a movie, and played.

I love running Isaac and Grace’s challenge reading group.  They were excited to start reading Percy Jackson.  These kids are so good and fun to be with.

Emma had a yearbook work party that night and she sent me this picture.  Yearbook is a lot of work!

Isaac and Grace were bummed they didn’t catch a leprechaun on St. Patrick’s Day, but those crazy leprechauns left silly notes, fun treats and a mess!

They even left a kid trap!

A box of Lucky Charms is always the highlight of St. Patrick’s Day!

Of course the messy quickly turned into a fort.

We had a lucky dinner that night.

On Saturday Grace and I went with friends to see the new Beauty and the Beast movie.  We all loved it.

Lee and Isaac have been working on their Rubik’s Cubes.  Lee finally got it!

We had a very special Stake Conference on Sunday morning.  We left for the Stake Center bright and early so we could get a good seat to hear Elder M. Russell Ballard speak to us.

Elder Ballard’s son is the Oregon Portland Mission President.  He was coming to visit his son so Pres. Leptich asked President Ballard if his dad might speak to our stake.  Elder Ballard said yes!  That was a special treat, the members of the Quorum of the Twelve don’t often speak at Stake Conferences anymore.

It was so wonderful to be there surrounded by people we love while listening to an apostle of the Lord.  What a great experience, one our family will remember!  Lee got to spend some extra time with him and the Stake Presidency.

Isaac and Eli were so cute as they helped to put chairs away.  I just barely missed their high five to each other.

Isaac completed his Rubik’s Cube when we got home that day.

It was such a nice Sunday, and we didn’t have any other meetings that day, so we decided to go on a walk to some waterfalls.  It was quite the adventure to find Butte Creek Falls.  We missed a turn (a sign that was supposed to be there, wasn’t), and we found ourselves on a very bumpy road full of huge potholes.  Isaac was terrified and was sure that we were going to crash into one of those potholes.  We finally turned around and found the correct way.  We were so glad we didn’t give up because it was such a beautiful hike.  Easy and perfect for a Sunday walk.

Even better, you get to see two waterfalls along the way.

We weren’t the only ones enjoying the trail that day.  We ran into the Winkel’s! Kind of crazy, but so fun for these kids.

I love Sundays, especially when we get to hear from an apostle.  And I love this family!  What a great day to remember.
